So, to start things off, I thought I'd keep it simple with my favorite scary movie, enjoy! (Originally Posted September 1st, 2020) So, heres day 1 of my Halloween grab bag, so I thought I'd start with my favorite scary movie. Although its not really a horror movie, Ridley Scott's 1979 movie Alien(trust me, I will most likely cover another late 70's horror movie later on) the Alien movie, while scary on the basis of the creature alone, the cramped in area of the Nostromo's hallways and ducts are enough to make even the non claustrophobic feel uncomfortable. Its the unknown, the fact that there is no escape, help isn't coming and there's a creature hunting you down. From the design of the Xenomorph to the Jerry Goldsmith score, to the windy rocky terrain of LV-426 everything in this movie fits together for a perfect sci-fi/horror movie.
