Pop Daddy's Favorite Music Videos Part 30

"I feel right Music sounds better with you" Stardust - Music Sounds Better with You You may not have seen this video, you may not know the song by title, but you most likely have heard the song. The video is a story of a kid who builds a model plane, while Stardust flies to the top of the charts. The song is funky and catchy and I wouldn't expect anything else from 50% of Daft Punk.  Stardust - Music Sounds Better With You

"I followed you across the stars I looked for you in seedy bars" Rolling Stones - Love is Strong After he killed Dwayne Hicks and before he made Brad Pitt his Johnny Depp, David Fincher returned to directing music videos. When the Stones released Voodoo Lounge in the early 90's, Fincher took the helm of this video. The concept is the Stones and a few model looking people take New York by storm. But in this universe, they're like Kaiju or something, it goes all over the city and it's a treat for Stones fans and NYC fans. A fantastic video and a great song.  Rolling Stones - Love Is Strong

"The journey's long And it feels so bad I'm thinking back to the last day we had" Zero 7 - Destiny Zero 7 is back on the list and back in the day, I used to wake up to MTV or VH1 videos and the first time I heard this, I was half asleep and I even wondered if this song was real. The video is very warm and dream like. This one is a definite comfort video.  Zero 7 - Destiny

"I'm a thief, I'm a liar There's my church, and I sing in the choir!" Pearl Jam - Do the Evolution Peal Jam is the type of band, where they've got some great songs, but the videos are lacking, in my opinion. Save, for this one. This one co-directed by Todd Macfarlane is both rocking and haunting, from the time of dinosaurs to a haunting view of a dystopian future. The song pairs perfectly with the video. Enjoy.  Pearl Jam - Do the Evolution

"Fire at the Taco Bell!" Electric Six - Danger! High Voltage Man, I've posted some weird vids on this list, but this video is on a totally different level. The video is crazy and the song is funktastic, check this one out.  Electric Six - Danger High Voltage

Part 25: Mick Jagger - God Gave Me Everything "And I smell it in the wine I taste And I see it in my father's face And I hear it in a symphony And I feel it in the love you show for me, yeah" So, I posted the Johnny Cash "Hurt" video last Friday, which was directed by Mark Romanek, and I forget if I said, but that wouldn't be his only appearance on the list and looking at the other videos this won't be his last video on the list. The guitar riff along with Mick's vocals,a supporting vocals by Lenny Kravitz and a rocking beatale the song a definite windows down jam. The camera work in this video is great and fits the song perfectly. Enjoy! Mick Jagger - God Gave Me Everything

Part 24: They Might Be Giants - You're on Fire "The lights are low The music is extremely loud You're hard to get to know But you're easy to spot in a crowd" So, thanks to Tiny Toons and the University of Pennsylvania radio station, I've been a They Might Be Giants fan since I was a kid, their songs and light and poppy, but with their videos, there's a bit to be desired. This one is their best offering in my opinion, it's neat, quirky and fits the tone of the song. Plus, it features the adorable Lauren Lupkis, enjoy this one!  https://youtu.be/VlGNm7_dvz4 They Might Be Giants - You're On Fire

Day 23: The Superman Lovers - Starlight "I see (Will see)  my dream (Your dream)  for real (Come true)" This is a pretty surreal one, which I had never seen up until a year or two ago. This one is about following your dreams and not falling into the same rut everyone else has. The video is charming and the song is positive, enjoy! The Superman Lovers - Starlight

Day 22: Weird Al Yankovic - UHF "Disconnect the phone, now leave the dishes in the sink You better put away your homework Prime time ain't no time to think" So, it might not come as a surprise to you, but I'm a Weird Al fan. And I'm probably not going to post any of his other videos on here, since they're pretty much parodies of the videos of the original song, this one is different. Seeing as it's a bunch of parodies of artists that he never did songs or or they never gave their blessing, he acts it out here. I'm also a huge fan of the film UHF, so that helps it also. When it comes to his original songs, this one is one of my favorites. Check out the video and check out the movie!   Weird Al Yankovic - UHF
