Pop Daddy's Halloween Countdown Day 33


Day 33(Posted on October 3rd, 2020): more candy tonight with the Reese's Peanut Butter Ghost! 


First things first, I think they should have called this the peanut BOOter ghost, total missed opportunity. The packaging has spooky trees and bats and the the word "scary" with out peanut butter ghost as the A, in my opinion, this gives it an edge over the Frankencups. As you unwrap it, you see the ghost doesn't look half bad.


 The taste? Well, these aren't the PB pumpkins, I'm not too big on white chocolate, so, if not for these reviews, I probably would've skipped them. But if you like PB and white chocolate, you'll be sure to like these.

Update for 2022! They're are back this year and it looks like they may have theirs eyes and mouth cut out!

Day 35 (Posted October 5th, 2020): It's hard to believe that this month marks the 30th anniversary of The Simpsons Treehouse of Horror anthology episodes. (on 10/25, maybe I'll pick my 3 favorite independent segments) which means 3 years from now, there will be over 100 segments(2022: One year to go!). There are many good ones, but in my opinion, the best collection in my opinion is Treehouse of Horror V.  .      Still known as the Simpsons Halloween special  After an Outer Limits-esque intro, the first segment is called "The Shinning" it revolves around the Simpson family agreeing to watch Mr. Burns' lodge for the winter. After Burns cuts the cable and takes the beer, which causes Homer to slowly descend into madness. While it turns out Bart has psychic skills. Sound familiar? It's a direct spoof of The Shining and this one brings the laughs. Segment two: "Time and Punishment" begins with Homer breaking the toaste...

Taki Mini Snack Bites Review

In our area, we have a few discount food stores, when stores order too many of a product that doesn't sell, that's where they show up. Pop Momma and I frequent one, where you can get fresh sliced Amish meats or cans of soda for $.24 each because the box was destroyed. But on one of Pop Momma's last trips she came across these.  Takis Fuego Mini Snack Bites. That's right, according to the package they're "Hot chili pepper and lime snack bites with an (imitation) mozzarella filling" boy, doesn't that last part get you all excited for the imitation cheese goodness? So, I figured that we'd give them a shot.  Ok, so, strike 1, the packaging says that there is 60 bites inside, I counted about 55 plus parts, so, they've got that against them, but, I was still going to hear them anyway. Pop Daddy's Halloween Countdown Day 60

Day 50: So, while I was at the store today, I saw a new Halloween themed candy! How was I able to pass up these: Spooky Color Junior Mints.  So, the box has some awesome Halloween colors and artwork, that grabbed me, and as opposed to other limited time single carton candy, this is the size of a regular box that you can get year round.  Now, I don't know if they we're all like this, but the mints were a little flat as opposed to robust. With the orange and black filling, I wasn't really expecting any different flavor, but the texture is a bit more smooth, so that's cool, and Junior Mints are always nice.  The orange isn't really that bright and the black isn't really that dark. If you like Junior Mints, be sure to pick up a box, they're worthy enough to be sown into Bub the Zombie! (The actor who played Bub in Day of the Dead also played the guy who got the Junior Mint sown into him in that Seinfeld episode)
