Pop Daddy's Halloween Countdown Day 52


Day 52: There's something strange going on at Starbucks, and it does look good! Today I'll be looking the Secret menu item: The Ghostbusters Frappuccino.  (As recommended by Patrick) 


Now, seeing as this is a secret menu item, you have to order each part separately(like with the Pennywise and Baby Yoda ones) . So, it's a Vanilla Frappuccino base, strawberry puree on the bottom, Raspberry syrup swirl and mocha cookie crumbs(they're on top of the whipped cream). So, I ordered and and I was thinking, I wish the person who thought to get this would put some more green into it as opposed to red slime. Until, I looked more into it. It's not supposed to be a red slime look. It's supposed to look like the "no ghosts" logo. So, if you order this, after you take your pic, be sure to mix, otherwise, your first mouthful will be strawberry. So, I mix it up, take a sip and it's pretty good, the fruity flavor is good and the mocha cookie is alright also. It's not as good as the Hocus Pocus shake and at $7 for a Grande,  the price is a bit hefty. But, the good news is, if you don't feel like having it now, those ingredients are available year round. So, except for the price tag, this is a nice Ghostly drink that will raise your spirits.

Day 53: A little bit back, I reviewed my favorite Simpsons Treehouse of Horror episode. This Sunday marks 30(32 this month, Oct, 2022) years since the first one titled "The Simpsons Halloween Special" (and the only one to take place in a treehouse!) Pop Daddy's Halloween Countdown Day 35

Day 35 (Posted October 5th, 2020): It's hard to believe that this month marks the 30th anniversary of The Simpsons Treehouse of Horror anthology episodes. (on 10/25, maybe I'll pick my 3 favorite independent segments) which means 3 years from now, there will be over 100 segments(2022: One year to go!). There are many good ones, but in my opinion, the best collection in my opinion is Treehouse of Horror V.  .      Still known as the Simpsons Halloween special  After an Outer Limits-esque intro, the first segment is called "The Shinning" it revolves around the Simpson family agreeing to watch Mr. Burns' lodge for the winter. After Burns cuts the cable and takes the beer, which causes Homer to slowly descend into madness. While it turns out Bart has psychic skills. Sound familiar? It's a direct spoof of The Shining and this one brings the laughs. Segment two: "Time and Punishment" begins with Homer breaking the toaste...

Pop Daddy's Halloween Countdown Day 27

Day 27(Posted on September 27, 2020): I told you that I had a little Halloween food shopping spree the other day, so here's today's food, Pumpkin Spice Twinkies.  So, these look like regular Twinkies, but once you take a bite, if you're not expecting it, that pumpkin spice taste hits you in the face. Now, when you unwrap these, you can smell the pumpkin spice. So, if you were hoping to trick a friend with these, unless they have a bad sense of smell, you're not tricking anyone. The sponge cake has the same consistency, the cream is a little fluffier(I can't remember how long it's been since I've had a Twinkie, so it might have always been this fluffy), but both the cake and the cream are loaded with pumpkin spice.  So, if you don't like Twinkies and/or don't like pumpkin spice, give these a pass, because they are loaded. But if you like both, these are a MUST BUY.
