Pop Daddy's Halloween Countdown Day 57


Day 57: Stopped at Rite Aid today and to my luck, they had Halloween candy! So should you be picking: Russell Stover's Chocolate Pumpkins?


They come in at least 3 flavors: Peanut butter, marshmallow and coconut cream. They were out of coconut cream, so I just picked up the first 2. The design on the PB is the standard chocolate wavy design, but on the marshmallow, it looks like they tried to make a pumpkin design, but it's just puffy.

 But, they are shaped like pumpkins, so that's a win. The chocolate shell on the peanut butter is a TINY bit thicker than on a Peanut Butter cup, while on the marshmallow one, its like a thin shell that will crack under a little pressure.


 The peanut butter is a little bit grittier than the Reese's kind and the Marshmallow is super sticky, but is more like real marshmallow, as opposed to marshmallow flavored cream. And without care you'd have a mess on your hands. So, these are pretty ok, nothing spectacular, middle of the road for me.

Day 53: A little bit back, I reviewed my favorite Simpsons Treehouse of Horror episode. This Sunday marks 30(32 this month, Oct, 2022) years since the first one titled "The Simpsons Halloween Special" (and the only one to take place in a treehouse!) Pop Daddy's Halloween Countdown Day 35

Day 35 (Posted October 5th, 2020): It's hard to believe that this month marks the 30th anniversary of The Simpsons Treehouse of Horror anthology episodes. (on 10/25, maybe I'll pick my 3 favorite independent segments) which means 3 years from now, there will be over 100 segments(2022: One year to go!). There are many good ones, but in my opinion, the best collection in my opinion is Treehouse of Horror V.  .      Still known as the Simpsons Halloween special  After an Outer Limits-esque intro, the first segment is called "The Shinning" it revolves around the Simpson family agreeing to watch Mr. Burns' lodge for the winter. After Burns cuts the cable and takes the beer, which causes Homer to slowly descend into madness. While it turns out Bart has psychic skills. Sound familiar? It's a direct spoof of The Shining and this one brings the laughs. Segment two: "Time and Punishment" begins with Homer breaking the toaste...

Pop Daddy's Favorite Music Videos: Part 1

"I'm scared about my future and I want to talk to you." Ok, so, chances are, if the music video looks like an old timey movie or tv show, you most likely will be seeing it here. This is one of my favorites and I should add that these videos are in no particular order. So, I love the old 1950's sci fi aesthetic with the alien planet, flying saucer and giant robot.
