Rise of the Pop Daddy


Hello everyone, my name is Tom, and I'm going to be a father. I'm a child born in the 80's and raised in the 90's. Since I was a child Pop Culture has been a large part of my life and I know it's a large part of many who were born and raised in that era also. I thought there should be a type of video blog type series to help parents with reviews, along with what I'm going through. Plus, have reviews for items that other people who aren't parents will enjoy as well. 

So, what you can expect is reviews from myself of baby products, kids movies that parents can enjoy also, music suggestions that won't drive parents crazy, toys that aren't too noisy that parents won't mind, date night movies for mom and dad, that will make them feel as if they aren't wasting their time. Along with food products and video games and such.

Day 53: A little bit back, I reviewed my favorite Simpsons Treehouse of Horror episode. This Sunday marks 30(32 this month, Oct, 2022) years since the first one titled "The Simpsons Halloween Special" (and the only one to take place in a treehouse!) So, I thought I'd share with you my 10 favorite segments in chronological order.  The Raven (The Simpsons Halloween Special) I remember missing most of the episode and this being the only segment I saw. Pop Daddy's Halloween Countdown Day 35

Day 35 (Posted October 5th, 2020): It's hard to believe that this month marks the 30th anniversary of The Simpsons Treehouse of Horror anthology episodes. (on 10/25, maybe I'll pick my 3 favorite independent segments) which means 3 years from now, there will be over 100 segments(2022: One year to go!). There are many good ones, but in my opinion, the best collection in my opinion is Treehouse of Horror V.  .      Still known as the Simpsons Halloween special  After an Outer Limits-esque intro, the first segment is called "The Shinning" it revolves around the Simpson family agreeing to watch Mr. Burns' lodge for the winter. After Burns cuts the cable and takes the beer, which causes Homer to slowly descend into madness. While it turns out Bart has psychic skills. Sound familiar? It's a direct spoof of The Shining and this one brings the laughs. Segment two: "Time and Punishment" begins with Homer breaking the toaste...

Pop Daddy's Favorite Music Videos: Part 1

"I'm scared about my future and I want to talk to you." Ok, so, chances are, if the music video looks like an old timey movie or tv show, you most likely will be seeing it here. This is one of my favorites and I should add that these videos are in no particular order. So, I love the old 1950's sci fi aesthetic with the alien planet, flying saucer and giant robot.
