Off Camera: Utz Cheese Filled Cheese Balls

Hey everyone, sorry, it's been a minute since I posted, things have been going pretty good, baby was born in March and I've been raising the heck out of her! Plus, I haven't found much to type up about, and I'd rather shoot a video talking about it, so I finally found something to write about! I present to you UTZ's cheese filled cheese balls!
I found these a month or so ago at a Family Dollar. For those of you who don't know, they aren't a Dollar Store, it's just a name. Also Utz is a Pennsylvania based snack company, popular in the Philadelphia and Baltimore area, they have chips that are on par with Herr's when it comes to having a hoagie side. So, I was in family dollar and I came across these in the freezer section, no label, just one box and I had never heard of these, so, for all I knew, this may have been the only box in existence. So, I purchased these and they say in our freezer until tonight, when I decided that we should try them. So, I took them out,(there were 23 in there) preset my oven to 450° and waited. (Usually I would use the air fryer, but not this time)
.       (Waiting for the oven...)

So, I placed them on the foiled sheet, and they were bright orange, just like UTZ's famous cheese balls. Soon as the oven went off, I put them in, 12 mins, flip halfway and took them out to cool. And they're described as mozzarella sticks and just like those...
They burst open. Pretty much every one was burst. So, I scraped them as best as I could and put them on a plate, it was game time.

I had a plate for me and one for Pop Momma. We both took one bite and it was a cheese explosion, these were amazing, albeit a bit rich. They're covered in orange cheese dust and have a cheddar exterior. And the insides? (The ones that didn't empty in the oven) let's do a comparison:

(Reality)
Not too far off, but I'll forgive it, because they were so good. Now, these were pretty rich, so I needed a dipping sauce, these weren't spicy enough for ranch, and not bland enough for hot sauce. So, I tried a couple, first was Sweet Baby Ray's Secret Sauce.

This was like a horseradish mayo, it paired very well with the balls. Our second one was Mae Ploy Sweet Chili sauce.
This one was good also, I think I'd pair it with this over the Ray's sauce, because it was closer to a tomato type sauce, which goes better with the cheese.

Final Verdict: Pop Momma said these were like mozzarella sticks with cheddar and I said they were like jalapeno poppers without the pepper, needless to say, we both loved them, if you see a box, be sure to pick one up! If you're a cheese fan you'll love them!

So, there you have it, I'm probably gonna keep this blog for local treats that you can't get nationwide and second opinions on things. So feel free to contact me for requests and like and subscribe to the links below!
