Pop Daddy's Halloween Countdown Day 23


Day 23(Originally Posted on September 23 2020): Looks like PepsiCo coming through with the clutch on a Halloween drink, but is it good? Let's look at VooDew! 



When it comes to halloween drinks Coke and Pepsi themselves don't really have much to offer (Pepsi's Universal monster marketing in the early 90's was nostalgic perfection). But, Mountain Dew and Sprite, usually come through on the holiday flavors(Red, white and Dew is the first that comes to mind) it comes as a ghostly white translucent liquid in your standard Mt. Dew bottle, but in clear, as to peek the liquid inside. You crack open the black cap and take a swig of the mystery flavor. How's it taste? The first thing that comes to mind is Skittles. its a citrus and creamy mix with a hint of cherry. Not that bad, but a little too sweet, if that's your thing, definitely get this. If not, get one and share with friends. Cheers!

Bonus, LAST YEARS VooDew review (Made around 3 weeks before my first episode! September 23, 2021)

Finally tried this years VooDew (according to memories, I did on this day last year) and my cup holder light made it look freaky. The taste is DEFINITELY Smarties, but better. I'd say grab a bottle.

Day 53: A little bit back, I reviewed my favorite Simpsons Treehouse of Horror episode. This Sunday marks 30(32 this month, Oct, 2022) years since the first one titled "The Simpsons Halloween Special" (and the only one to take place in a treehouse!) Pop Daddy's Halloween Countdown Day 35

Day 35 (Posted October 5th, 2020): It's hard to believe that this month marks the 30th anniversary of The Simpsons Treehouse of Horror anthology episodes. (on 10/25, maybe I'll pick my 3 favorite independent segments) which means 3 years from now, there will be over 100 segments(2022: One year to go!). There are many good ones, but in my opinion, the best collection in my opinion is Treehouse of Horror V.  .      Still known as the Simpsons Halloween special  After an Outer Limits-esque intro, the first segment is called "The Shinning" it revolves around the Simpson family agreeing to watch Mr. Burns' lodge for the winter. After Burns cuts the cable and takes the beer, which causes Homer to slowly descend into madness. While it turns out Bart has psychic skills. Sound familiar? It's a direct spoof of The Shining and this one brings the laughs. Segment two: "Time and Punishment" begins with Homer breaking the toaste...

Pop Daddy's Favorite Music Videos: Part 1

"I'm scared about my future and I want to talk to you." Ok, so, chances are, if the music video looks like an old timey movie or tv show, you most likely will be seeing it here. This is one of my favorites and I should add that these videos are in no particular order. So, I love the old 1950's sci fi aesthetic with the alien planet, flying saucer and giant robot.
